Hikaru Sulu was the helmsman of the USS Enterprise. Proficient in astrogation, he also was quite skilled in armed combat (including fencing) as well as hand-to-hand combat, being a master of judo. He was well liked by his Captain and crew and formed a strong bond with his fellow bridge-mate, Chekov. Sulu's role in the initial five-year mission of the starship Enterprise kept the ship from harm whether it was evading Tholian ships, or aiding in away missions in historical 1960's Earth. These skills would aide Sulu in the future, as he would one day become captain of his own starship.
Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu was released in 2002 as part of the second wave of figures in Art Asylum’s Star Trek: The Original Series collection.
