Located near the planet Bajor, the Deep Space Nine space station is the last stop on the trip through a wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant. On board, many different races and individuals must learn to get along with one another as they explore new frontiers and civilizations.
Lt Julian Bashir was the Chief Medical Officer on Deep Space Nine. He wanted to experience frontier medicine and get back to the roots of his medical knowledge. Bashir would get up close and personal with medicine for many different kinds of species including Ferrengi, Bajoran, Cardassians and Klingons. One of his most notable projects was on biomolecular replication. He was nominated by the Federation Medical Council for the Carrington Award, making him the youngest nominee in the history of the Award.
