Once known as Locutus of Borg, Captain Jean-Luc Picard has been trying to forget his nearly deadly encounter with the hive-mind, cybernetic creatures. When they return to threaten Earth of the 21st Century, Picard and his crew follow them through a wormhole to 2063. There Picard meets Zephram Cochrane, the creator of warp drive technology. They then realize that the future is in drastic danger, as the Borg plan to kill Conchrane before he can make his initial warp flight. Picard also has to deal with the Borg on board the Enterprise, as they turn the engineering deck into a hive for their kind to spawn. Using his intimate knowledge of Borg technology, and a partial remaining link to their hive-mind, Picard along with Data, is able to stop the Borg before they can change history forever.
