William T. Riker was the second-in-command of the USS Enterprise-D. A solid and honorable officer, he was a core member of the Enterprise staff, helping her escape many problem, discover new cultures, or helping the crew to blow off some steam. Prior to serving on the Enterprise, Will met and romanced Deanna Troi. The two would then serve together on Enterprise-D, but Will never let their past interfere with his professionalism as second-in-command. Their relationship would continue to flourish in time, but in the meantime Will found other distractions of the feminine kind. He was also a lover of jazz, and an accomplished trombone player.
