Jean Luc Picard served as Captain of the USS Enterprise-D, providing solid leadership, discipline and dry sense of English humor. He spent his career expanding the boundaries of the Federation, including the discovery of the Borg, a dangerous cybernetic race. Picard also had encounters with more benign beings, such as the Ressikan Probe. This probe, manufactured a life for Picard as Kamin an ironworker on the planet Kataan. From this, Picard was able to experience the lifetime of a extinct society, of which the only artifact remaining was a Ressikan Flute, which Picard would cherish and learn to play over his years in Starfleet. |
