"Accused of a crime they didn't commit, a rag-tag band of fugitives fights a covert battle to clear their names and expose the insidious enemy that is...Cobra. Some call them outlaws; some call them heroes; but these determined men and women think themselves only as...ordinary Joes--and this is their story."
Duke, AKA - First Sergeant Conrad S. Hauser, is portrayed in the show as the dynamic young leader of the team of renegades he has found himself aligned with. This version of Duke is not as confident as his Real American Hero counterpart, but the audience watches all season long as this bourgeoning sergeant learns the necessity of teamwork and the importance of split-second decision making as the very survival of the group depends heavily upon his ability to do so.
Unlike many of the other figures found in this second wave of 30th Anniversary GI Joe offerings, Duke is an entirely new sculpt, and except for the head, closely resembles the character's appearance in the show. The highlight of this figure is the vest, which sports quite a bit of detail on the front and the back. It is removable, but is essential for display since the body underneath is very bland. Duke's accessories include a stand, four plasma pistols, a plasma rifle, gas mask, and vest. The head more accurately depicts Duke from the GI Joe: Resolute cartoon instead of Renegades, however the new head sculpt is impressive when compared to previous renditions of this same character.
