Paying homage to the original Steel Brigade GI Joe: A Real American Hero mail-away action figure, the Steel Brigade running change found in later shipments of 30th Anniversary Wave 2 uses different body parts to diversify your Steel Brigade legions. The head, body, and accessory offerings remain the same, but the arms and legs used to create the figure have changed from the Cobra Shock Trooper limbs, to those found on the Pursuit of Cobra Snake Eyes released last year. This change gives the figure a bulkier appearance that the vintage Steel Brigade trooper was always missing. The accessories, while consistent with those included with 30th Anniversary Wave 1 Steel Brigade figures, have undergone a few minor paint changes: the bayonet is no longer painted silver on the blade, and the 4 removable RPGs on the backpack are tan (as opposed to black used for the first release). Accessories include a stand, removable helmet, 2 rifles, 1 heavy machine gun w/ bipod, 2-piece bazooka, 4 RPGs & tan backpack, green backpack w/ shovel, and a removable vest.
