Loosely based on the United States built A-10 Thunderbolt, this classic Cobra Rattler warplane is recast from the vintage 1984 vehicle mold of the same name. Refitted with VTOL capabilities (vertical take-off & landing) which the real-life version lacks, this fully armed bomber contains an arsenal that still makes the Joe Team cringe to this day--10 bombs and 4 missiles to be exact--and an array of armor piercing top and bottom-mount machine guns for engaging in dog fights with G.I. Joe's top pilots. Just as with the vintage release, the modern era Cobra Rattler comes with one of the more popular features not found all that often with G.I. Joe vehicles, that being the inclusion of 2 snap-on/snap-off battle damage panels for the aircraft. The Rattler can hold one pilot in the cockpit and one figure in the 360-degree rotating gunner station on top of the plane between the wings. This formidable weapon and Target store exclusive will soon be re-released as the yellow and black striped Tiger Rat, which is a G.I. Joe Tiger Force special ops. repaint.
