Comments:in 1994 Hasbro released a sort-lived series of figures and vehicles [loosely] based on the Dean Devlin/ Roland Emmerich feature film masterpiece Stargate. While anyone can argue that these Batman: The Animated Series scaled figures hold a very decent likeness to the lead actors in the movie, not much else about this line was really film-accurate, but that’s the mid 90’s for you.
The Stargate action figure collection may not be popularly considered a classic line, it is a perfect example of what toys were like in the era they were produced, and in traditional Hasbro style, they are quite well made.
The Stargate collection didn’t last longer than its first wave that included figures based on Daniel, O’Neil, Kawalski, Skaara, Ra, Anubis, Attack Pilot Horus, and Palace Guard Horus. The collection also offered fans accessories based on the Winged Glider, Mastadge Beast Of Burden, and the All-Terrain Cruiser. |
