Announced May 2012, McFarlane Toys' Gotham Rogues Hines Ward action figure derives from the 2012 hit film The Dark Knight Rises. In The Dark Knight Rises feature film, Bane, the main antagonist within the movie, blows up a field during a football game between Gotham Rogues and the Rapid City Monuments, in which Hines Ward and several other National Football League players made a cameo appearance.

Hines Ward, a real-life National Football League player of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is clad in a black and yellow Gotham Rogues uniform, much like his Steelers attire. Paying tribute to Hines Ward as a fourteen-season long wide receiver, McFarlane Toys' Hines Ward action figure is portrayed in a signature receiving stance. This figure began shipping in October 2012.
