An identified assassin on the run after a failed political overthrow. Running for his life, the assassin became fatigued and fell upon a tribe of monkeys. All but one monkey accepted this assassin into their tribe. As the days went on, the assassin knew he did not see the last of his enemy soldiers, so he continued to relentlessly train. As time went on, the one monkey who was not happy about allowing this assassin into their tribe began to pick up on his fighting and killing skills. Eventually, the assassin became sick and this one monkey fought off the rest of his tribe for trying to save him. The monkey was kicked out of this tribe and, in time, ran into the enemy soldiers. He attempted to go back and warn his tribe, but it was too late; they were all murdered. Determined to avenge his tribe, he took on a new life of killing under the name Hit Monkey!

Revealed during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro’s 2013 wave one build-a-figure Hit Monkey is one of the smallest build-a-figures to date. Featuring an all-new sculpt, collectors waited a long time to see this killing Monkey in action figure form. The first wave of Hasbro’s 2013 Marvel Legends series began shipping in February 2013.
