The New 52 Superman action figure was part of the second assortment of figures in Mattel's DC Comics Unlimited collection. All four figures in this wave was designed after the New 52 versions of the classic characters. Beyond this figure, the wave also included figures based on Wonder Woman, The Flash and Hawkman.
