Mego: Star Trek The Motion Picture
To Boldly Go…
U.S.S. ENTERPRISE BRIDGE

Comments: In 1979, Mego offered a range of toys based on the Paramount Pictures feature film Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The collection included two waves of 3 3/4" action figures, one 3 3/4" scaled playset, and a series of six 1/6 scale action figures.

The U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge was one of two planned playsets for The Motion Picture collection, but it was the only one produced. This sturdy vacform playset was available in the U.S. and in Canada (through Grand Toys). When it was originally released, it sat on shelves and saw substantial discounts before it sold out. These days this toy is one of the rarest playsets ever produced and is rarely available for sale.

Mego planned to produce a Vulcan Shuttle, which would connect to the Enterprise’s airlock door. There is no evidence proving it was released, and is currently believed to be unproduced.

The U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge Photo Archive was made possible due to the generosity of Dean Marciano.
