Sideshow Collectibles: The X-Files
X-files
Alexander Krycek
Sideshow Website Exclusive Figure

Comments: Alexander Krycek aka John Arntzen: his guises were many, his involvement in intrigues seemingly endless. Handsome, highly intelligent and charming, Krycek had the makings for the perfect double agent. Assigned as Mulder's new partner when the X-Files were temporarily shut down, Krycek appeared as a fresh-scrubbed junior FBI agent who was in reality reporting to the mysterious Cigarette Smoking Man, a member of the Syndicate. Given his rumored Russian lineage and fluency in the language, his allegiance to the Russians was another possibility. Krycek infected himself with the sentient virus known as the "black oil," and had his left arm amputated to avoid being further experimented on in a Russian gulag. It is unclear whose side Krycek was really on, but most likely, it was whatever side promoted his own agenda.

Who is the real Alexander Krycek? We may never know. What is known however is the introduction of another key conspirator into Sideshow Collectibles X-Files Figure Series, with the Alexander Krycek 12-inch collectible figure.

Along with the Assistant Director Skinner, the Alexander Krycek figure figure was offered directly from the Sideshow Collectibles site only and saw a production run of only 500 pieces. With the release of these two figures in 2006, the X-Files collection came to an end, leaving many collectors wanting more. To this day, these two figures are amongst the most sought after 1/6 scale figures produced from the company and usually don’t sell for less than $200 each.
