First revealed in the summer of 2014, Mondo's The Iron Giant Deluxe Figure based on Brad Bird's movie of the same name, was one of the first toys to be announced by the company, famous for limited edition posters and vinly albums of classic soundtracks.

With both regular and limited editions going up for pre-order on January 21st 2015, both versions began shipping to collectors in March of the next year.

The following month, Mondo announced the release of a shadow variant of The Iron Giant Deluxe Figure that featured a darker color-scheme and had an edition size of just 150 pieces.
