In order to keep track of everything being made available to attendees of the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, we've created this handy Exclusive Figure & Collectibles Checklist. This easy to print check list will be updated as more information becomes available. At the time of this story's publication, the list is still not 100% official, but all unofficial entries were meticulously researched. While we don't advise printing this first draft, it is still the most accurate list, and is a good source of information including prices, edition sizes, and booths each exclusive is available at. If you notice a missing or incorrect entry, please don't hesitate to let us know.
As long time CTR readers know, this is the fourth year we've offered attendees a printable SDCC Exclusive checklist. You'll notice that we are using the same colour-code format we introduced a couple of years back in order to help collectors keep focus. If you are planning on getting everything, we suggest printing the list in black and white, but if you are only looking at collecting one type of exclusive, a colour print will save you hours! Hot Toys Teases The Dark Knight Rises Batman
OK, yeah, so it looks like Bruce Wayne will be wearing the same gear in The Dark Knight Rises as he did in The Dark Knight, and from a film aficionado's point of view that is very cool. It would be easy for Warner Bros to say they want many different batmen toys, but Christopher Nolan was able to move past the make-many-different-toys-while-making-a-movie trap that many other filmmakers allow themselves to fall into, and as such in his third and final film there is only one suit that defines the legend of Batman.
For toymakers this may prove to be a challenge, but not for Hot Toys. They are looking at this as a chance to improve on their already incredible Dark Knight Batman DX figure. Does that mean the secondary market price will drop on the current version? We don't think it will because no one wants to sell the other one. The question is, how do you improve on perfection? That's the same question we asked ourselves with the Version 2.0 Joker, and we now see that you can in fact improve on perfection. As such, we welcome this new version of Batman, and no, it doesn't mean we'll sell the first DX Batman. (sideways happy face). Hasbro: Masterpiece Optimus Prime Coming Next Month
Word on the street tells us that Toys "R" Us will be offering Transformers fans a repackaged Hasbro version of the Takara Masterpiece Optimus Prime figure. This window boxed set will include a transformering cartoon accurate version of Prime, his classic trailer, a roller drone, gun, axe, and a mini articulated Spike figure. The production run is limited to 20,000 pieces and the price should be around $100. Full Report
Hasbro: New Marvel Universe Comic Packs
We've uncovered two new Marvel Universe comic packs, both of which are inspired by the original Marc Silvestri drawn The X-Men Vs. The Avenger limited series. The first pack will include a kit-bashed Magneto made up from the body of the AIM Soldier, Doctor Doom's cape, and the Adam Warlock head and a repacked Captain America. The second set will feature a redeco of the upcoming She-Hulk (in her purple Avengers costume) and a kit-bashed Wolverine which is essentially the X-Men Origins Brown Costumed Wolvie with the Wolverine Vs. Silver Samurai head and hands. THese sets will be limited to 40, 000 pieces and when they hit the shelves next month, they will go for $16.99. Full Report

We have received some cool information about the Marvel Universe X-Factor boxed set. This five figure set, including Mr. Sinister, Jean Grey, Angel, Cyclops, Apocalypse, and Iceman, will be exclusive to Toys "R" Us and will hit shelves on July 1st with a suggested retail price of $34.99. The set will be limited to 20,000 pieces worldwide. for those speculating about the Cyclops figure, it will be based on the same body as the Guardian figure with the head and hands seen on the classic Cyclops figure. Hasbro: 2012 SDCC Helicarrier Hints At Future Releases?
Eagle eyed True Believers may have noticed that the packaging for Hasbro's 2012 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Avengers Super Helicarrier features five members of the Masters Of Evil, including Baron Zemo, Radioactive Man, and Tiger Shark (all of which are being offered in a three pack at SDCC), along with Whirlwind and Evil Goliath. As hinted at at NYCC, the original plan was for this to be an Avengers Verus Master Of Evil sort of deal that would have offered us Black Knight, Bearded Thor, Captain America, and the Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel, versus the above mentioned. Sadly, it didn't fit the targeted production costs and got scaled down. At this point I don't think we'll see Whirlwind, but Goliath maaaaay find its way out. Maybe. If you want to ensure these cancelled figures get released, we suggest you politely request that they make it into the line. If everyone lets Hasbro know their love for Marvel Universe, we stand a better chance at seeing more cool stuff. And remember, you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Full Report
