NECA: Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Vector
Published by AnthonyP on June 21, 2012 at 05:38 PM CST:

Who is VECTOR?

Real name: Classified. Origin: Unknown. The mysterious, hooded member of Delta Team?s ?Wolfpack,? Vector is an enigma wrapped in a puzzle wrapped in an invisibility cloak. Today, we?re excited to take a closer look at this latest 7″ action figure from the latest in the landmark Capcom gaming franchise, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

It is September 1998 and the action centres on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak, developed at the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile, the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak?

So it?s a cover-up and a fight against the government for the U.S.S. Delta Team, AKA the ?Wolfpack,? and the recon specialist Vector is one of its deadliest members. Whether he?s gathering information or cutting throats, he does it with stealth learned direct from Hunk, the leader of Delta Team and no slouch himself when it comes to offing zombies.

Our Vector figure was a big hit earlier this year when we debuted him at the NYC Toy Fair. He comes combat-ready with game-accurate weaponry ? knife, rifle and pistol included ? and a highly-detailed sculpt of the black hood and gas mask he wears in the game. Vector also has over 20 points of articulation, including:

Ball Jointed Upper Torso
Swivel Waist
Ball Jointed Hips
Double Knee Joints
Boot Swivels
Hinged Ankles

It?s a fact: Resident Evil was into zombies before it was cool. By the time people actually started chowing down on each other?s faces, Operation Raccoon City was already released as one of nearly 20 titles in a brand that also includes movies, books, and the forthcoming Resident Evil 6, one of 2012′s most anticipated games!

And though trends always come and go, Resident Evil has already proven it can stand the test of time. As always, we here at NECA HQ will continue to bring you all the best in figures and other goodies from the series and all your favorite games, movies and more!
