Preview images of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Classic Iron Man action figure, were first released in January 2013. Deemed the first wave of the 2013 Marvel Legends line, in its entirety, consists of Heroic Age Iron Man, Classic Iron Man and Iron Patriot, while the second series of Iron Man action figures consists of Iron Man Mark 42, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes, and Ultron. All action figures within these series contain a build-a-figure piece to build your very own over-sized Iron Monger action figure. Hasbro’s first assortment of Marvel Legends Iron Man Action figures began shipping in February 2013.

The Classic Iron Man action figure is a repaint of previously released versions of Classic Iron Man, however, does come with a new "horned head" helmet. Keeping up with the Iron trend, Classic Iron Man comes clad in his metallic gold and red suit of armor. This action figure comes packaged with the right leg of the Iron Monger build-a-figure.
