Hasbro: G.I. Joe -25th Anniversary
Yo Joe
Cobra Commander Vs. Tripwire
G.I. Joe Comic Pack

Character Bio:
By Vince Zannelli
Bounding off of the success of 3 3/4" comic book multi-packs from the early 2000s, Hasbro released a number of comic book 3 3/4" 2-packs beginning in 2008 and are still currently being released. While very few newly sculpted pieces were incorporated in the production of the packs, they did feature a variety of retooled and repainted figures and accessories as well as a high-quality reprint of either a modern or classic G.I. Joe comic. Later in the line, newly written comics created exclusively for these 2-packs were penned by G.I. Joe legend Lary Hama and featured covers and interior art by renown industry professionals.

Tripwire was created using the body of Sgt. Flash with an all-new head and shins, however his paint application and accessories are identical to the single-carded release version of Tripwire which surfaced about the same time as this comic 2-pack. However, this classic-inspired homage does not include the MASS Device "desert" element that the single-carded version comes with.

One of the many hooded Cobra Commander figures from the modern line, this version is popular amongst collectors for the appropriately colored dress blues uniform Hasbro incorporated into the many comic book appearances which feature this version of the Cobra leader. Using a Crimson Guard body and an earlier hooded Cobra Commander head sculpt, many fans have used this particular rendition for loose figure displays in front of legions of Cobra soldiers.
