Unlike the rest of Hasbro's 2013 wave one action figures, which were revealed during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con Hasbro Preview Night, Hyperion of the Squadron Supreme was revealed during the 2013 New York Toy Fair. This caped crusader was a part of the early days of the Avengers. Hyperion features an all-new sculpt and his only accessory is his detachable cape.

Hasbro's Hyperion action figure includes the arms and pistols of the Hit Monkey Build-A-Figure. The first wave of Hasbro's 2013 Marvel Legends series began shipping in February 2013.
