2012 marks the return of Hasbro's Marvel Legends action figure collection. The line, which was carried over from Toy Biz when Hasbro got the Marvel license from them (Marvel owned Toy Biz at the time), has always offered a very diverse collection of 1/10 scale figures, often times with a ridiculous amount of articulation points. Marvel Legends was also the first action figure collection in America to feature a Build-A-Figure element.
The first wave of the revitalized line features seven basic figures including Steve Rogers, Hope Summers, Extremis Iron Man, Klaw, Constrictor, Ghost Rider, and Thor. All the figures, save for Thor, a repaint of the 2011 SDCC exclusive, comes with a Build-A-Figure element that allows collectors to piece together a Terrax figure.
This assortment, that began shipping mid-Feburary 2012, also featured three chase variants including Steve Rogers with a transparent shield, a blue Stealth Armour version of the Iron Man, and an orange flame version of Ghost Rider. Each of these figures come packed with the same BAF piece as the standard versions.
