Part of the X-Men: The Movie two pack series, the Wolverine Vs. Sabretooth two pack was based on the epic fisticuffs session between the two mutants in the third act of the first X-Men feature film. Both figures are retooled versions of their single carded counterparts, but with added expression changing facial features. In addition, the Sabretooth figure comes decked out with a trench coat, making for a more film-accurate version of the character.
Produced to be available during the theatrical release of the feature film, the X-Men: the Movie action figure collection by Toy Biz dominated the toy shelves in 2000.
