BLOWTORCH is thoroughly familiar with all military incendiary devices and flame projection equipment. To BLOWTORCH, the use of fire in combat is a science that predates the bow and arrow. He's a qualified expert in the M-7 flamethrower, M-16 rifle, and M-1911A1 auto pistol. He also has an annoying habit of checking every smoke detector he sees. "He can't sleep unless he's near a smoke detector. Cigarette smoke drives him bananas. He always sits near the exit in movie theaters and refuses to live anywhere where he can't safely jump out of the windows. This is not irrational to him. These are actions based on intimate knowledge."
Based on the vintage 1984 series 3 Hasbro G.I. Joe figure of the same name, this version of the classic yellow and red flamethrower stayed very true to the original product much to the delight of long-time G.I. Joe aficionados. Always a fan favorite, many collectors wanted him to be included in the initial 25th Anniversary product offerings when the line began anew in 2007. While his midsection and torso are from an earlier version of Snake Eyes (Arctic) with the addition of his "padded" LEGO-style red armor, his arms, legs, and head are newly sculpted. One of the more stubborn Joe team members, Blowtorch is not known to be much of a social butterfly. In fact, he prefers solitude and is only activated for close combat situations involving Cobra infantry forces and ground invasion scenarios. Blowtorch comes with his signature yellow helmet and face mask (with hose attached), yellow backpack, green flamethrower, and stand.
