Comments:
One of the greatest Vietnam films ever produced, Oliver Stone's Platoon won the Academy Award for best picture in 1986. This two-hour epic recounts the life of Chris Taylor, played by Charlie Sheen, an American student who wants to become 'real' and believes joining the military will help him reach that goal. He is sent to Vietnam to fight the enemies of the US. However, while the enemy lies outside of camp, the inside of the platoon proves just as dangerous as Sgt. Elias and Sgt. Barnes conduct an internal war of their own.
The first wave of Platoon figures, released in 2002, came with authentic military Vietnam-Era gear as seen in the film. Each figure is individually packed with a full color box, a reprint of the theatrical poster and cast list. |
