G.I. Joe Con: Customizing Workshop
Posted by Curto on September 29, 2007 at 03:30 AM CST:
We admit, we're longtime fans of customizing. So when we heard that the Official 2007 G.I. Joe Collectors Convention was going to have a special presentation of customizing G.I. Joe figures, we HAD to check it out!

The customs figures are created in-house by Hasbro's sculptor/designer Richard Woodhouse. He had a break-out session (where the photos shown earlier today of Shipwreck and Beachhead are from).

During the session he pulled out a vintage Lifeline and kit-bashed several figures to show how
you can create custom figures with the new torsos (hence the photos of the guy's hands). He created a 25th anniversary Lifeline from the kit-bash.

The anatomy of a Joe poster board shows the articulation points that are included in the figures so customizers can see which parts can best match up for their own unique creations.
