Hasbro: Marvel Legends Series 2 Carded Images
Posted by D_Martin on March 5, 2007 at 11:14 PM CST:
Hasbro continues to impress us with their take on the Marvel Legends line. Like the first wave, this new set includes a wide range of characters that span from the feature film X-Men 3: The Last Stand, the Ultimate Universe, as well as the classic Marvel Universe.

The second series includes the following:

X3 Jean Grey
UPC# 6 53569 21975 0

As the name would imply, this version of the popular character is based on Dr. Jean Grey from the third picture X-men feature film series. The figure, which will also feature a repainted variant to show Jean's Phoenix persona, sports a great portrait likeness to Famke Janssen, the actress who played Jean in the films.

This figure is packaged with the right arm of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

X3 Juggernaut
UPC# 6 53569 21974 3

The X3 Juggernaut, like the X3 Jean Grey figure, is designed on the character's appearance from the third feature film. Both of these figures will compliment the X3 Beast figure from series 1.

This figure is packaged with both hands of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

Quicksilver
UPC# 6 53569 20788 7

The Quicksilver figure depicts the roguish Avenger in his classic blue costume. This mutant, with the gift of incredible speed, began his costumed adventuring days as a villain in the original Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants. Quicksilver, along with his sister the Scarlet Witch, left the Brotherhood to fight injustice alongside the Mighty Avengers. While Quicksilver has done some fairly shady things in his time, his heart has always been in the right place. He is one of the more intriguing antiheroes in the Marvel Universe.

This figure is packaged with the left arm of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

She-Hulk
UPC# 6 53569 20790 0

Through a series of coincidences that could only happen in the Marvel Universe, young lawyer Jennifer Walters was shot by a gangster on the same day her cousin Dr. Bruce Banner (the Incredible Hulk) was paying her a visit. In an attempt to save her life, Banner disregarded the gamma radiation in his blood that turns him into the rampaging green monster and gave Jennifer a blood transfusion. When she recovered she discovered that she had all the advantages of the Hulk without any of the less desirable aspects. In her career as an adventurer, she has been a member of both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. The She-Hulk figure depicts the gamma charged lawyer in her modern costume.

This figure is packaged with the upper torso of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

Thor
UPC# 6 53569 20787 0

This version of Thor, the third in the line if you are to include the two that Toy Biz have produced, features the God of thunder in the garb he wore in the last days of his life. Currently Thor is believed to be dead, but fear not true believers, no one stays dead for long in the Marvel Universe.

This figure is packaged with the head of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

Ultimate Wolverine
UPC# 6 53569 20791 7

Wolverine is the second figure produced by Hasbro based on the Ultimate Universe version of a Marvel Character. Unlike the classic version, the ultimate Wolverine is roughly 6' tall (the classic Marvel Wolvie is 5'2"? the same height as Bono, the singer of U2. The debate continues as to which of the two little guys is more famous)

This figure is packaged with the lower torso of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

Xorn
UPC# 6 53569 21976 7

Xorn is a perfect example of a cool modern Marvel Universe character. Based on his appearance in the underrated New X-Men comic series by Grant Morrison, Xorn will fit in nicely with toy Biz's black clad Wolverine from the short lived Classic X-Men action figure line. Both figures feature costumes designed by artist Frank Quitely.

This figure is packaged with the left leg of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.

Yellowjacket
UPC# 6 53569 20785 6

Yellowjacket is one of the most popular crime fighting personas of the Marvel Universe version of scientist Henry Pym. Before that he was also known as Ant-man, Giant-man, and Goliath. While Yellowjacket is the first Pym produced by Hasbro, it is the forth Pym in Marvel Legends action figure history, with the three other versions released by Toy Biz.

This figure is packaged with the right leg of the Build A Figure Blob action figure.
