Hasbro's 2nd G.I. JOE Q&A: The Answers!|
As part of Hasbro's bi-monthly Q&A session, Cool Toy Review passed on 5 of your burning questions and now we've got the answers for you.
Cool Toy Review: Will we be seeing any of the characters that Hasbro doesn't have the copyright for their names? (For example: Hawk, Breaker, Flash, Etc.) If we see these Characters will they be known as Clayton "Hawk" Abernathy, Alvin "Breaker" Kibbey, Anthony "Flash" Gambello, or will they be known by Specialty General, Communications, Laser Rifle Trooper?
Hasbro: We will try our best to offer our best, classic characters and make name adjustments where necessary. We would never pass on re-creating a great classic character.
Cool Toy Review: I know it was just announced, but will the exclusive "Pimp Daddy Destro" be available online?
Hasbro: Destro will be limited in number. It will first be available at San Diego Comic-Con and the Official G.I. Joe Convention in September (see gijoeclub.com for more information). If there are figures left it is possible they will be available online but they will remain limited in number.
Cool Toy Review: Rumor has it that vehicles may be in the offing for 2008, would these vehicles be re-release and repaints of old molds or new vehicles built as an homage to the classic vehicles?
Hasbro: It is a little early in the development process to provide that kind of detail but what would a 3.75" line be without vehicles?
Cool Toy Review: Will there be a "Titanium Series" line of Joes or Joe vehicles?
Hasbro: Currently that is not planned.
Cool Toy Review: The second Cobra 5-pack showing up on retailer websites for pre-order lists a Cobra Jet Pack Trooper. Can you confirm this pack is on the way, and, to help kick off the Joe Q&A sessions in style, share a picture of this mystery figure with us?
Hasbro: I can confirm that this is planned but that is all I can do at this time. Check out San Diego Comic-Con to get a first look at this amazing troop builder pack.
