Hasbro's 4th G.I. JOE Q&A: The Answers!
Posted by Curto on October 15, 2007 at 04:12 PM CST:
As part of Hasbro's bi-monthly Q&A session, Cool Toy Review passed on 5 of your burning questions and now we've got the answers for you.

Cool Toy Review: With the recent fan favorite poll recently completed here at Cool Toy Review, it looks like the results show that you're right on track with what the fans have chosen. Were there any characters that surprised you?

Hasbro: No real suprises. It feels good to know we are in touch with the fans.

Cool Toy Review: Why the choice to make Serpentor without the cobralike hood? The original simply snapped into the hole in his back. Is there any chance you will include it as an accessory?

Hasbro: All I can say is that we have plans for Serpentor and his hood.

Cool Toy Review: Are there any plans to make a SCARFACE Cobra soldier? I've been wanting him since he first appeared in the comics back in the 80's and he'd be a welcome addition to the legion of Cobra!

Hasbro: Sorry, if we didn't reveal it at JoeCon, you will have to sit tight for a little while longer.

Cool Toy Review: I recently pulled a sealed case off of a pallet at Wal-Mart. When I opened it, I noticed that the cardbacks of the figures were bent because the shipping case is not big enough for the figures!!! Why change the cardstock when all that needs fixed is the shipping case size? It just needs to be a little bigger. While you are at it, make it 12 figures per case, with more troopers.

Hasbro: Your feedback is heard. We will look into the case pack size. As for 12 figures for case, that will not change.but you will see more troopers in the future.

Cool Toy Review: Not really a question, but I wanted to pass this along...
JoeCon: What a great show, with loads of announcements and a lot of excitement. It seems like the G.I. Joe brand is on the cusp of making a huge comeback with the new toys and the upcoming movie. Congratulations on what appears to be a great line with a lot of history and comeback potential. Obviously, longtime fans are excited by the line, but I gotta tell you, even those who weren't fans back in the 1980s are excited by what is coming. Keep up the good job!

Hasbro: Thank you for the kind words. We just want to fans to realize we love the brand as much as they do.
