Toy Fair 2013: The Square Enix Booth
Published by AnthonyP on February 15, 2013 at 10:11 PM CST |

There was plenty of awesome stuff on display in the Square Enix booth this year, especially for Final Fantasy fans. Among the toys were Trading Arts Kai mini figures, which are tradeable and include the following:

Cloud Strife
Yuffie Kisaragi
Tifa Lockhart
Rinoa Heartilly (Available July 2013, $24.99)
Sephiroth (Available July 2013, $24.99)
Aerith Gainsborough (Abailable July 2013, $24.99)

Moving along to the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Play Arts Kai figures:

Rufus
Yuffie Kisaragi
Vincent Valentine

Here's a quick background for Final Fantasy Advent Children:

Two years have passed since the eventual defeat of Sephiroth at the hands of Cloud Strife. Since then, Cloud has been living with his childhood friend Tifa Lockhart in a city called Edge, built on the outskirts of the Planet's former capital, Midgar. Together, they have been taking care of Marlene (their friend Barret Wallace's adopted daughter), and the orphan Denzel, who Cloud met outside a church in the slums of Midgar. Cloud and many other citizens have become infected by a strange disease known as "Geostigma", the origins of which are unknown, and for which there is no known cure.

We're on a roll, and this time we turn to Kingdom Hearts, which had a great reception at the show. Kindom Hearts 3D (Dream Drop Distance) Play Arts Kai figures that were on display include:

Sora Tron: Legacy Version (Available May 2013, $69.99)
Sora Regular Version
Riku

Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, the game focuses on Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery exam in which they have to protect parallel worlds in preparation of the return of Master Xehanort. Besides controlling the two playable characters across a single scenario, the player is able to recruit creatures known as Dream Eaters able to assist them in fights.

For those you you not familiar with the Play Arts Kai line, these action figures are highly detailed, and possess an immense amount of articulation. While these aspects may be reflected in the price, trust us, it's highly worth it.

Since we're on a video game tear here, we'll talk about the Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening and Resident Evil 6 Play Arts Kai action figures that were on display, which include:

Devil May Cry
Vergil (Available Now, $69.99)

Resident Evil 6
Helena Harper
Leon S. Kennedy

Now personally, I've always been a fan of the Street Fighter action figures that Square Enix has put out and what was on display did not disappoint. From the video game Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, the following Play Arts Kai action figures were displayed:

Ken In Red Gi
Ibuki
Sakura
Guile

Super Street Fighter IV is a 2010 fighting game produced by Capcom. It is an updated version of Street Fighter IV and has been said to mark the definitive end of the Street Fighter IV series
