Super7 revealed their plans for the ReAction Figures line at the 2012 San Diego Comic-con. In a prominent spot at their booth, they displayed prototypes from the cancelled 1979 Kenner Alien collection. They took a very unique approach to marketing the line by transparently showing their project as their research continued. The next public showing was at Star Wars Celebration VI, a step that may seem odd to some, but if you want to get the attention of collectors that have an affinity for 1979 era Kenner, there is no better place to go. The line was fully revealed at the 2013 San Diego Comic-con, where it was made available for pre-order with the purchase of the Early Bird Certificate.

Collectors that purchased the Early Bird set were treated to Kenner-correct blue card backs and the exclusive translucent Alien action figure.
