With only a few hundred figures produced in this outlandish paint scheme before higher ups at Hasbro ordered a more character-accurate paint scheme, the Pimp Daddy Destro is already one of the rarest G.I. joe figures, but finding one of the mint on card examples is almost unheard of. It is believed that when this figure was being produced roughly 100 were packaged and some of them are believed to have actually to the US! To commemorate its tenth anniversary, Hasbro remade the figure as one of their 2007 San Diego Comic Con exclusives. The 2007 version used modern body parts and came with either the silver mask that matched the 1997 version and a much pimpier gold mask.
