WETA COLLECTIBLES HELLGATE: LONDON STATUES
The official collectibles from the highly anticipated game

For the first time, Weta Limited have created a line of collectibles based on a PC game. They have partnered with games developer Flagship Studios to create statues of the characters and demons featured in the upcoming game, Hellgate: London.

Weta Limited has designed and created four statues based on the characters from Hellgate: London, The Cabalist, The Female Templar, The Male Templar, and The Hunter. Each piece will be a limited edition run of 1,000 pieces, and will be available in June 2007. Pre-ordering is currently available through www.wetanz.com/collectibles.

Weta Limited officially launched in 2005. In the two years since then, the company has successfully produced over thirty pieces from four different movies, under the brand of Weta Collectibles: King Kong, Superman Returns, The Legend of Zorro, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, including DVD exclusives.

Weta Collectibles are known for their attention to detail and realistic depictions of characters, most notably from films. The move into the gaming market was a natural progression, says Collectibles Manager, Jamie Wilson. ?Our discerning collectors tend to enjoy a wide range of multi media experiences, so the progression towards making high end gaming products was always in our plans. When we were approached by Flagship Studios to create the official collectibles, we jumped at the chance.?

Flagship Studios is a creator of innovative entertainment software, designing games that focus on ease of play, replay ability, and fun. The studio was formed in 2003 by former executives and developers from Blizzard North and represents the creators of the worldwide, best-selling Diablo franchise. With members that are renowned within the gaming industry, Flagship Studios embodies a team that has worked together for over a decade and have numerous #1-selling games and multiple Game of the Year awards to their credit.

Male Templar
This piece shows the Male Templar caught in mid-slice, sending the un-dead back to the hell they came from.
Templar are the true believers, the keepers of the faith, and the destroyers of evil. They also control and defend the London Underground, which serves as mankind?s sanctuary.

Female Templar

This piece shows the Female Templar standing victorious over the corpse of her latest conquest.

Templar are extremely organised and regimented, their centuries of preparation giving them the best basic footing for waging war against the demons.

The Cabalist
This statue sees The Cabalist summoning one of Hell's demons to serve her in the battle against its own kind. Delvers of arcane knowledge, students of the dark arts and explorers on the fringes of science, Cabalists use the powers of the demons against them.

The Hunter
Hunters are highly-trained ex-military operatives and members of secret government agencies most comfortable clinging to the shadows and dealing with threats in their own deadly ways. After the Demon invasion, methods and weapons once held secret were shared as Hunters switched their crosshairs from one another to the monsters that had invaded their world.

About the game

The game combines the depth of role-playing games and the action of first-person titles, while offering infinite playability with randomly created levels, items, and events. The player creates a heroic character, completes quests, and battles through innumerable hordes of demons to advance through experience levels and branching skill paths. A robust, flexible skill and spell system, highly customisable appearances, and a massive variety of randomly generated equipment allows players to create their own unique hero.
