James Cameron's Avatar Sinks Titanic
Posted by D_Martin on January 26, 2010 at 12:40 PM CST:

Having pulled in $1.843 billion Internationally, James Cameron's Avatar is now the highest grossing film of all times. Of that, only $551 million has been made in the US, which is still under Titanic's $600.8 million, but with Avatar still being played on many screens and DVD and Blu-Ray sales still a few months away, this film is going to be tough to catch up to.

How does this relate to the collectibles being produced by Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys and the toys being produced by Mattel? We're willing to bet all three companies will have success with their products over the next few years, and some of the earlier released products could very well become quite hard to find. Considering the tone and spectacle of the feature film, we could easily be looking at this generation's Star Wars.
