My Arcade Booth


So the big things this year were deluxe models of the existing Micro Player units. The Space Invaders unit features a light up marquee and a screen set in like the original arcade cabinet. It's really cool to see that kind of overlay screen again.

The other model is the Street Fighter 2 cabinet that also has the light up marquee, a range of buttons, 8 way joy stick, and the ability to link to another unit for versus play. This link feature seems to be something My Arcade will push to other two-player style games, as seen here with Contra. Expect to see other title like this as well. This link player is available in both the Pocket Player and Micro Player units.
