Pokemon Company International: Pokemon Toy Fair Booth 2019

We had the pleasure of touring the Pokémon Company International booth at Toy Fair. They had a wide assortment of products that have been previously announced and recently released. This was the first appearance though of some of them. Click here for a link to the high res images gallery.

Sun and Moon Team-up Expansion

This line introduces tag team Pokémon-GX for the first time in the series. This line features booster packs, theme decks, and special collections. We saw some that include coins and boosters. This line features over 180 cards, six brand new tag team GX cards, six new GX cards, four Prism Star cards, and more than 25 trainer cards.

Detective Pikachu

Expect a wide range of movie merchandise this spring including trading cards, apparel, toys, and plush. Announced so far are case files which include a promo card featuring a live action Pokémon, a metallic coin, two Detective Pikachu booster packs, and one Pokémon trading card game (TCG) booster pack. There is also a collector chest containing seven Detective Pikachu booster packs, two additional Pokémon TCG packs, a collector pin inspired by the movie, and a notepad and sticker sheet in a metal case. These should start hitting stores in early April. Expect the case files to retail around $9.99.

Some items will be exclusive to PokemonCenter.com. For instance, the Detective Pikachu deerstalker cap. This should run about $24.99. Also a variety of apparel and accessories from Hi-Hat Café, Ryme City Police Department, the Ryme City 10-Year Anniversary Parade, and a variety of pins, patches, stickers, and tin signs.

Wicked Cool toys will have a new line of two-inch scale figures from the movie, a speaking plush featuring the voice of Ryan Reynolds, and a standard plush.

Mattel will add additional characters from the movie to their Mega Construx line including Detective Pikachu and Mr. Mime.

A Day With Pikachu

Recently announced and now appearing, Pokémon and Funko are teaming up again. This series will be a monthly run that is planned for just one year for now. The collection will be exclusive to PokemonCenter.com. Each one will be themed to a season or holiday. The first one launched on 13 February and included a Luck Incense. Additionally, we will see more Pokémon Pop! figures following the launch of Pikachu last year. on 27 February (Pokémon Day), Bulbasaur will make an appearance!
