I've saved the Hasbro Marvel Universe for last, not just because it's one of favorite lines, but because there's a lot to talk about for this line. While at New York Comic Con, I was able to finally get the first part of our annual interview knocked out. Much of New York Comic Con was a complete madhouse, and most of the crowds were centered at the Hasbro booth, specifically the Star Wars and Marvel sections. This is not really a surprise, considering it was promoted that this was the first time they attended the show, and they had the largest booth of anyone (except for Marvel Comics and DC Comics). But there were more Hasbro toys on display that I was able to take some pictures of, specifically G.I.Joe and the various exclusives that were on sale at the con. Full Report
in case you haven't heard, the return of Hasbro Marvel Legends is coming! During New York Comic Con, they showed off wave 2 of this new line, which includes several new features, like swappable heads (check out Daken!), alternate decos that make new characters (the Madames), and some running costume changes along the way (Wrecking Crew, Spider-Man). Here's a new gallery for the Hasbro Avengers display at New York Comic Con, which showed off both the 6" scale line as well as the 4" scale. Both lines are based on the movie appearances of the entire cast, and from what I can see here, 2012 is going to be big as the Avengers finally ASSEMBLE! Full Report
NYCC: Hasbro Marvel Movie Lines
Here is a selection of photos of the Hasbro Marvel movie lines on display at New York Comic Con. There was nothing really new for Iron Man: Armored Avenger or Captain America: First Avenger, but Thor: Mighty Avenger did have a few new figures...or at least the closest many fans will get to these, as they are very hard to come by! The onslaught of New York Comic Con from last weekend continues with a gallery of the Hasbro Spider-Man display. While there wasn't a lot of new items shown, there was a display for next year's Amazing Spider-Man movie, as well as the upcoming action figure based on the new movie costume. A special exclusive set of mini muggs commemorating the "Maximum Carnage" storyline was available as well, including 5 characters in the unique style. Full Report
While walking around New York Comic Con and braving the massive crowds, I came across various toys that caught my eye. I only made it to the Marvel booth once to see the Avengers stage...which was jam-packed the entire show (more on this shortly), but there were a few other Marvel pieces that caught my eye. Another booth that was particularly crowded during New York Comic Con was the McFarlane Toys booth. This was possibly due to the much-anticipated Walking Dead line, but I think it was due to the fact that Todd McFarlane himself was there to sign autographs. Personally, I'm partial to the Spawn: The Beginning statue. Full Report
A selection of the line of MASSIVE Marvel Comics statues from Kotobukiya were on display at New York Comic Con. These things are much bigger than you'd think, and they are amazingly detailed. The bishoujo line continues as well, with a large selection of characters from Marvel and DC Comics . Full Report

The DC Comics booth at New York Comic Con saw massive crowds the entire show, with a lot of excitement over "The New 52" and the highly-anticipated Batman: Arkham City (in stores TODAY!) plus creator signing sessions. NYCC: Titan Entertainment Booth
While walking around New York Comic Con, there were several people dressed up as Doctor Who characters, and lots of replicas of the TARDIS. But I came across this cool display of mini-busts at the Titan Entertainment booth that made me take a closer look. These are some great likenesses of the characters! Full Report

If you love the minimates line, then you saw a lot of new sets in the Diamond Select Toys booth during New York Comic Con. There were plenty of great sets of these small characters on display (and several that were show exclusives), plus a selection of upcoming figures from Marvel Select, The Munsters, and the Universal Monsters lines. Here's a look at the Dark Horse Comics booth at New York Comic Con. While the focus of their setup was of course on their various comics and autograph sessions with top creators, there was also a display case spotlighting their collectibles, including the Marvel Comics classic character statues. Last weekend was New York Comic Con, and there were a ton of people flocking into the Jacob Javits center (roughly 105,000 fans!) over the course of the 4 days. As you can imagine, there was plenty to see and do, and it's taken time to sort through everything that went down in the Big Apple. The first gallery from the exhibitors hall is from Mattel.
