Super Impulse: World's Smallest Magic The Gathering Duel Decks Review

Super Impulse continues to impress with its World Smallest line, faithfully recreating cherished games from our childhood in a pocket-sized version and this is no different. Again, Super Impulse has been able to capture all the details of a full-scale Magic deck and miniaturize it. The print is tiny but still very legible. The cards capture the same abilities, power ups, and point costs.

Despite their small size, we found the cards easy to handle and use. While not Magic experts ourselves, we don't see how the mechanics with this miniature set would defer from a full-size deck. Even better, Super Impulse included a box for each deck, making it easy to store and transport these decks. The only thing we had a qualm with was the package advertised instructions but we did not find any in the packaging or within the decks. Generally though if you are buying something like this you most likely know how to play already, so it is not really an issue.

The real charm here, like with any entry from this line, is the portability. This can easily fit in a pocket and be played on the go. The smaller size accommodates a modern world where pocket real estate has been taken up by smart phone and other devices. This is an ideal set for longtime fans of the game and is the perfect gift for the player in your life.

Look for this set where Super Impulse's products are sold in retail store and fan channels and other online retailers like Amazon.
