McFarlane Toys Shows Off Their OddPods
First seen at this year's Toy Fair, McFarlane Toys has officially announced their first set of OddPods. These figures bring the Urban Vinyl style to the Halo license. Head on over to find out more about the first wave that will include a Master Chief, a Brute Chieftain, a red Spartan EVA, and a grey Spartan EOD. All four figures will feature interchangeable heads and arms. At the time of this story being published no future plans for the OddPods has been revealed, but collectors could see the series spread over to McFarlane Toys' other licenses if Halo set is successful. A Closer Look At Cloak & Dagger
While tragic characters and gritty stories have been a popular aspect of comic books since the mid 80's and most consider Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns and Alan Moore's Watchmen to be the stories that inspired the darker tones, they weren't the first comics to explore the more deplorable parts of society. In fact, Marvel Comics' Cloak & Dagger series explored many unsavory tales as early as 1983, making it one of the most mature comics of its day. It is always a happy day for the staff of CTR when a new collectible based on this underrated series is announced.
